Among the kayasthas Mathurs are different at all .Ceremonies performed by Mathurs are quite different than other kayasthas of course some of them have the same with slight difference. One of the ceremonies is ” BATKHICHRIDI” ( बटखिचड़ी). In batkhichridi MOTA PAPAD (मोटा पापड़) is one of the essential material. It can also be used in daily routine meals instead of green vegetable. Mota papad is made of urad daal mixed with black pepper or any other healthy materials. It makes our meals more tasty.
